This course is for moms who:
Can definitely say "I am not Mormon."
Are ready to move forward in a new way of parenting
Have an open mind and want to learn how to drive deep connection
I was ashamed to tell my children. Not because I was afraid I made the wrong decision, but because I was afraid they would lose trust in me. You see, for their entire existence, I had told them the church was true. How was I going to tell them that I "changed my mind"? I hid it for a while. I waited for them to notice that we weren't going to church. And eventually I realized that I was not being honest with them.
Through my career as a high school science teacher and school administrator, I learned that the #1 most important thing when working with children is open communication. Respect them enough to be honest.
And after many therapy sessions, I have learned the art of communication. Being open and vulnerable with my children is the single most impactful skill I have learned that has deepened our connection and strengthen our bonds as a family.
I created this course because it's what I wish I had when I left the LDS church. Figuring out what kind of mom I wanted to be was overwhelming, and being honest with my kids was the first step.

Module 2: Two way communication is all about being able to listen to understand. You will learn how to use reflective listening to create connection and foster a deep understanding of each other. You will also get examples on using "I" statements which reduce tension in serious conversations.
Module 3: In this step, your family will come together to create something tangible that will guide your family onto a new path, that you get to build. Discover everyone's core values and step onto a path where everyone is recognized and validated.
